Why the Ogden area needs this

Three things in your water you can see, smell, and taste.

Most homeowners don't know what's in their supply until they look it up. The public data is there, and it's usually not great. These are the three most common problems we fix.

Hard water you can feel

Scale on fixtures and shower doors, spotted glassware, water heaters dying early. If your water is hard, a whole-home softener handles all of it at once.

Contaminants and dissolved solids

Reverse osmosis at the tap is the reliable removal path for heavy metals, dissolved solids, and other contaminants that carbon filtration alone doesn't catch.

Chlorine, taste and smell

Chlorine and chemicals from municipal treatment affect how your water tastes and smells. Carbon filtration handles them whole-home, at the main line before water reaches your taps.

Honest pricing, side by side

Same outcome. Half the price.

Ogden Water Pros whole-home water filtration system

What's in the system

Whole-home softening and filtration tank, with the brine tank alongside. Under-sink reverse osmosis is an add-on on any system, or a standalone system at $1,295.

01

Carbon filtration stage

Handles chlorine and chemical by-products at the inlet, fixing taste and odor throughout the house.

02

Water-softening stage

Removes the hardness minerals that cause scale on fixtures and shorten appliance life.

03

Flow control stage

Directs water through the system and runs the automatic cleaning cycle, so the system keeps itself working without anything for you to manage.

04

System tank

Holds the filtration and softening stages together, so the whole system takes up one footprint in the garage or utility room.

Common questions

Straight answers, no sales runaround.

How hard is the water in Ogden and Northern Utah?

Northern Utah sits on limestone and dolomite geology, and groundwater picks up calcium and magnesium on the way to your tap. That is what makes water hard, and it is why scale on fixtures and shower doors is so common across the region. Brigham City is the one market here with a published figure: its Water Division reports delivered hardness of 17 to 20 grains per gallon. Other cities in our area have not published a comparable number, so during your free water assessment we pull your own utility's most recent report rather than quote you someone else's.

How much does a whole-home system cost?

We publish all three prices. The Essential Whole-Home System is $2,595 installed, a large mixed bed single-tank system with water softening plus carbon filtration. The Premium Whole-Home System is $2,995 installed, an XL mixed bed higher-capacity single-tank system with water softening plus catalytic carbon filtration. The Ultimate Whole-Home System is $3,395 installed, a dual-tank system with a dedicated water softening tank and a dedicated catalytic carbon filtration tank. Professional installation is included in all three.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Financing through U.S. Bank. 0% APR for 36 months on approved credit, payments as low as $83 per month. Payment terms are covered on your assessment call.

What is the difference between the Essential, Premium and Ultimate systems?

All three soften your water and filter it whole-home, at the main line, before it reaches any tap. Essential is a single-tank large mixed bed system with carbon filtration. Premium steps up to an XL mixed bed higher-capacity single tank with catalytic carbon filtration. Ultimate splits the work across two tanks, one dedicated to water softening and one dedicated to catalytic carbon filtration, which is the configuration we point larger homes and heavier water toward. Which one fits your house comes out of your free water assessment.

Do I need a softener if I am on city water?

City treatment makes water safe to drink. It does not remove hardness minerals, because hardness is not a contaminant and utilities are not required to take it out. So yes, homes on municipal supply across Northern Utah still see scale on fixtures, spotted glassware, and water heaters working harder than they should. Your utility's own report tells us how hard your supply actually is, and that is the first thing we look at.

What is the difference between a water softener and whole-home filtration?

They solve two different problems, which is why our systems do both. A softener removes the calcium and magnesium that cause scale. Carbon filtration removes chlorine and the chemical by-products of municipal treatment, which is what you notice in the taste and the smell. A softener on its own leaves the taste problem. A filter on its own leaves the scale problem. Every system we install covers both.

Do you service private wells?

Yes. A well is a different job from city water: there is no utility report to pull, and iron, sulfur and hardness vary from one well to the next. We start from what is known about wells in your area and what you can tell us about your water, then size the treatment to that. Well systems are priced on your assessment call, because the equipment depends on what your well is actually doing.

How long does installation take?

We do not publish a duration, because it depends on your plumbing, where the system is going, and what is already in that space. Your installation window is settled with you on your assessment call, once we have seen how your home is set up.

How long do the systems last, and what maintenance do they need?

We do not publish a lifespan figure, because it depends on your water and how much of it your household uses. What we can tell you is what the system asks of you day to day: the softening stage runs its own automatic cleaning cycle, so the routine job is keeping it supplied with salt. We walk through the maintenance a system needs, and what affects how long it lasts, on your assessment call.

What is included in the free water assessment?

We pull the public data on your water, review it with you on one phone call, and tell you what your home actually needs. If you want a quote, you get the all-in installed price on that same call. There is no home visit and nothing to schedule around.
